THE BATTLE OF THE 'HAVES' AND 'HAVE NOTS'.

The 'haves' are trying to protect what they have and the 'have nots' are trying get something, it has been like that for ages only that in this era of capitalism everyone has a choice to what side they can be.
The rich invest in politicians not because they love them so much but because they are making business deals with these politicians to protect their companies.  The reason why Museveni is still our president is because he has support from the 1% ultra rich men of Uganda, the likes of Madhivani, Mukwano, Sudhir, Bitature, Mbiire, Nzeeyi just to mention but a few.
Democracy supports those with power, its for their own support not yours  you either join them or you perish. You either connect with their acquaintances or fail to get opportunities. You have to join their inner cicles, connect with them something like a friend of a friend is my friend.
To put it in simple terms if you want to have something, join the 'haves' if you want to be poor join the 'have nots'.
The tax laws are made to support them not you, to protect their companies from you because you are their biggest problem, they make laws to make sure your always indebted to them. They want whatever you have because you are their biggest cusomer.
You are either a 'have' or a 'have not'  so choose wisely

If you have a novel business idea, a well-defined target audience in mind, and the skills to pull it off, you can make money online in countless different ways. But, it's hard to tell the difference between legitimate business ideas and the seemingly great opportunities that'll instead end up wasting valuable time. ...

Panama Papers: How Jersey-based oil firm avoided taxes in Uganda

Revelations from the Panama Papers show how a company based in Jersey, a British crown dependency, attempted to avoid paying $400m (£280m) in Capital Gains Tax to the Ugandan government, writes BBC Africa's Rob Wilson. In 2010, Heritage Oil and Gas Ltd realised it would be hit with a huge tax bill and started making efforts to avoid it by moving the country where the company was registered from the Bahamas to Mauritius, leaked emails obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and shared with the BBC show. Mauritius has a double-tax agreement with Uganda, which in principle means companies pay tax in only one of the two countries. Since Mauritius does not impose any Capital Gains Tax, charged on the sale of assets, this would mean Heritage reduces its bill to zero.
